Chinese shoppers pay for deals in the Dianping and Meituan apps, and redemptions are settled by the platform, so you do not handle RMB yourself.
Platform data shows merchants with group-buy deals get 30% more impressions on average. Retail deals come in two formats today, cash vouchers and set packages; which suits your shop is assessed in the consult.

What shop owners ask most
Can a retail shop, not a restaurant, list on Dianping in Malaysia?
Yes. Dianping covers far more than food and has a shopping channel (购物). It accepts retail shops such as souvenir shops, durian shops, jewellers, pharmacies, fashion and cosmetics stores and duty-free shops, and we onboard all of them; each store is still subject to the platform's review, which we check with you in the free consultation. Go-live is typically 2-4 weeks after complete materials, with Meituan cross-listing.
Can a shopping mall be on Dianping and feature its tenants?
Yes. A mall can list as one merchant with its tenants inside. A mall plan is custom, not one of our standard packages, so please talk to us. Each mall and its stores are still subject to the platform's review, which we check with you in the free consultation. Malls and markets are also Must-Visit List categories; whether one is listed is decided by user reviews.
What kind of deal can a retail shop offer on Dianping?
Two kinds today: cash vouchers and set packages. A cash voucher is bought in the app and spent at face value in your shop; a set package bundles products or services at one price. Spend-and-save, gift-with-purchase and member prices are not currently available. We work out which suits your shop in the consultation.
How do Chinese tourists pay in my shop?
Deals and vouchers bought on Dianping and Meituan are paid in the app, and redemptions are settled by the platform, so you do not handle RMB yourself. The deal price and redemption are handled inside the platform, and you receive the platform's settlement as usual.
Can my shop list on Dianping if I do not speak Mandarin?
Yes, you can apply without Mandarin. Listing is subject to the platform's review of your store, which we check with you in the free consultation. We handle the listing, product descriptions in Chinese and ads. Review replies are part of our service too, and you work with us in English or BM. You prepare your store details, photos, SSM registration and the owner's NRIC or passport from a bilingual checklist, and we take care of the rest.
How long does it take to list a shop on Dianping, and what does it cost?
Once your photos, product or service list, SSM registration and the owner's NRIC or passport are in, a shop typically goes live within 2-4 weeks; Dianping's own review takes about 3-5 working days of that. Pricing is an annual package with a 1-year minimum, and a quote follows the free consultation.
